Voor dit unieke initiatief, gesteund door het Europese Interreg Vlaanderen-Nederland programma, sloegen diverse partners de handen in elkaar: North Sea Port, Stad Gent, VDAB, UWV en VOKA/VeGHO. Het doel? De kloof tussen vraag en aanbod op de arbeidsmarkt in het grensoverschrijdende havengebied verkleinen, en tegelijkertijd de veelzijdigheid en carrièremogelijkheden binnen de haven in de kijker zetten.

De Experience Day liet niet alleen zien hoe belangrijk het is om de industrie van de toekomst in onze regio vorm te geven, maar benadrukte ook de cruciale rol van talent in het realiseren van bedrijfsstrategieën rond klimaattransitie. Maar liefst een vierde van de deelnemende bedrijven waren leden van Smart Delta Resources, waaronder bekende namen zoals SEA-Invest, ArcelorMittal, North Sea Port, Stora Enso, Volvo Group, DFDS, Volvo Cars, Anglo Belgian Corporation, Evos, Kronos Europe, ENGIE, Dow, Cargill en Zeeland Refinery.

We hopen dat deze jobbeurs uitgroeit tot een vaste waarde voor het aantrekken van talent in onze regio. Samen bouwen we aan een duurzame en bloeiende toekomst voor het havengebied.

Yesterday, a new public charging hub for electric trucks was inaugurated at the Volvo site in Ghent. The infrastructure was developed by Milence, in collaboration with the Volvo Group. The charging site is an important part of a broader zero-emission mobility hub in North Sea Port, where Air Products is building a hydrogen refuelling station at the same location.

During the Zeeland Day in The Hague, held at Nieuwspoort and organized by the Province of Zeeland/OZO, Smart Delta Resources hosted the themed session "Zeeland Industry and Strategic Autonomy." In the presence of administrators, policymakers, and industry representatives, the focus was on one central question: how can the Netherlands—together with Flanders—strengthen its strategic autonomy through strong industrial clusters?

LBC Tank Terminals, Associated British Ports and North Sea Port partner to advance carbon shipping in the North Sea

LBC Tank Terminals (LBC), Associated British Ports (ABP) and North Sea Port have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop a Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) terminal and shipping corridor connecting Northwest Europe with the UK.
